Big Easy. . . Wont be an Easy drive.

I am headed out tomorrow afternoon for the Big Easy. It's going to be one heck of a drive but I know it will be worth it. Just say your prayers that we will be safe driving strait for 24 hours. I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas! May we all remember the miracle that is the birth of our Savior, and the joy that was felt that night all across the world. From those in Bethlehem witnessing it first hand to those in the America's that waited with their lives in danger for the sign of his coming. Why Why Why?!

So because we break into the BCS again we have to lose our defensive coordinator?!! UGH! I'm so bugged!! I loved Anderson! Why couldn't the Aggies freaking take Ludwig. . . Oh right they want to win games. Which they probably will now if Anderson finds a decent offensive coordinator. UGH! I hate when there are coaching changes before the post season is over! UGH I'm so bugged. . . I know I know all coaches want to be a head coach it's their career goal. And Anderson would be a great one. But seriously. . .

This will not be the first nor the last to praise Elder Wirthlin. I just felt inclined to post his final talk he gave this past conference. It really is one of my favorites. I think it's message is one we all struggle with and could all benefit from in our lives.

I KNOW that if we can apply this principle in our lives we will find that although trials and adversity may hit us daily there is still a goal worth reaching.

I'm grateful for this wonderful man who has served us as an apostle for over 20 years. I still remember years ago when he was speaking at general conference and he started to shake. Elder Eyring got up and held him up so that he could finish his address. I was so touched by his determination and humility to stand before millions and share his message. . . It's been hard for me to see the presidency and the 12 change so drastically from the group I have grown up with. But those newly called have already proven to me that these men are called by the Lord. I feel so blessed to have their words so easily available to us every day.

In memory of Elder Wirthlin I encourage you all to read his final address.

Well we did it!!! 12-0 and going to another BCS Bowl game!! I don't care where it is I'm going to the game. I'll probably get to work like I did in Michigan!! I'm so excited and so proud of my Utes. I'm also so tired of all the BYU fans using Hall's poor playing as the reason we won. It's one thing for your quarter back to throw 5 that's right 5 interceptions, and don't forget interceptions are caused by the DEFENCE. It's another thing when OUR defense does something with those turnovers. So Y fans get over it!! You guys lost this year. I'm tired of your excuses! The Y wasn't the better team this year!!. . . The Utes were awesome on Saturday!! I hate that the season is over. . .One more game!! I can't wait until Dec 7th to find out where we go!!

Moving . . .

Well I'm all moved out. Last night was my first night in my new house. I didn't buy it. Just renting a room. It's kind of weird. It sort of just feels like I'm on a long vacation. . . I'm sure that will change. I'm with three other really great girls and I'm 2/3rds closer to work, church, friends, and football! (now that the season is over) Sadly I'm now much farther from all my family. . . Well I guess this is me all growed up. . . That's what's new with me.

THE Game

I don't want to say much because I don't want to jinx anything and it makes me sick to think about the game anyway. . . All I know is more than anything I hate that football season is practically over. This year has come as quite a shock. We are 11-0 and playing really well. The only thing I would change is our bloody Offensive coach. His play calling is ridiculous!! But, we keep winning and scoring points so we are likely not to lose him. . . I also hope that BYU can handle our defense. Last time they faced a good defense . . . well we were all happy about TCU creaming them. . . Regardless of what happens we have a share of the MWC Title. I'm so proud of my Utes! This has been a crazy year and I've loved every minute.

Welcome

This is my niece, Annalynn Jane Crawley.
She was born this morning. She is 20 inches long and I don't know how much she weights. I just like to look at her. She's pretty amazing. I'm super excited to get to watch her grow up and turn her into a crazy Ute fan like myself. No worries she already has some apparel waiting for her! It's been a pretty great 24 hours!

Who'd a thunk?

If you had told me three months ago that my Utes would be sitting in the top 10 of the BCS and on their way to winning the MWC championship. . . well if you had told me that I would have probably laughed. I can't believe this season! It's really fun to be there in such intense games but honestly!!! The defense. . . GREAT! Now offense. . . I think it's time we analyzed the play calling some more. It was so poor. I think that Ludwig just sits up there and pics from a hat which plays to use. I'm starting to think that we would be better off without an offsensive coach at all!! Let Johnson just handle it. He's spent enough time on the sidelines and with the team to know what's going on. Is it coincidence that we do so well when he is the one calling the plays in the last two minutes? UGH!
The Blackout was a lot of fun! It was cool to see the whole stadium in black! Really fun game! Now we get to head to San Diego St. . . Bring on 11-0! (Still can't believe it!)

This is Gavin. He is my good friend Brynn's little boy. I'm not related to him at all but I totally love him! Look how cute he is as a frog!! I'm glad he got to come visit us on Halloween!

Top Ten

Reasons I love my job!
(This isn't to brag, mainly just for my benefit.)

1. The people I work with! I love that I get to work with some of my closest friends. It's pretty cool!
2. That I never have to deal with BYU co-workers.
3. My obsession with the Utes fits in very well here!
4. I get paid to go to sporting events! ie Utah/Michigan Game, football and basketball scrimmages. . .
5. Running into old friends on campus.
6. Meeting all sorts of different people due to the many boards and events we have.
7. Because of all the events we host I get free food at least 3 times a week!
8. Even though the U doesn't pay very well, the benefits make up for it.
9. I really love being behind the scenes of events! Seeing everything unfold.
10. I can blog! ; )

The one thing I can't stand:

The fly infestation!!! I kill at least 3 or 4 a day and they keep coming back to life!! Just ask Brynn! I hate them!

And it continues. . . My Utes are 8-0 on the season. I wasn't prepared for this. It's great! It's just crazy. At least yesterday was a good offensive game. Loukes pulled out some awesome plays! A 69 yard QB TD run! I'm glad he'll be around for a few more years. GO UTES!

This is a picutre of me and one of my best friends Mandy(Mands) at the BYU/Utah game in '06. This was at half time the crying hadn't started yet. . . That year we both were not ranked in the top 25. I think this year I might have a heart atack. It's going to be a great game!! (if any BYU fans make a smart comment I might not be friends with you after. Now is not the time.)

Wicked Awesome Game

So thinking back over the past four years I've been in the Muss I really don't think I've experienced a more exciting game! Two minutes left and we win it?!!! I love how much confidence we have in our kicker that we can put the clock on 1 second and KNOW that he will make it and win it for us!! It's awesome. . .But I must say that my frustration is still there. WHY WHY WHY? Why did they finish like the 15th ranked team, but play the whole game like they belonged in the bottom 15. Granted our defense is awesome. Oregon only scored on turnovers. Well mostly. But man come on? What is going on with the offense?! I don't get why they can't always play like the 15th team they are. HONESTLY! But 6-0 is pretty freaking awesome!

Coming Soon!

For anyone who is interested, I'm in a musical right now. (well rehearsals) It's Jekyll and Hyde at Rodgers Memorial Theatre in Centerville. It opens on Oct 3rd and runs through Oct 30th. However I only perform on M/W/F nights. The show starts at 7:30 each night. I don't know exactly how much tickets are but if you tell them you know me you get $2 off.
Just so you aren't disappointed, I don't have a big part. But you will hear me sing by myself a bit and see me dance like a whore. :) It would be a fun Halloween date! The number to the box office is 298-1302 and it's open form 10:00 am - 6:00 pm.
Just so you know. This musical has some of my favorite music! It's not the most happy of shows. But I love it. No pressure. Just issuing the invitation because I heard that the first week is selling fast. If you come for sure let me know!!!

Another season begins

Here we are! The fab five on row 5 of the Muss! I've stood with these same girls the past three seasons. We have a blast! I'm glad I'm able to bum off my friends who are still students. I don't know what we are going to do once we don't get to sit in the Muss. (thanks Brynn! We love our seats!)

Really Great Weekend.

Well the weekend was a great success! The tailgate went very smoothly, even with with 1400 Ute fans!

From the outside, the staidum doesn't look that big.

Yeah! It's pretty large!! Over 108,000 people!!

A congratulations to my Utes! I'm proud of the defense for holding onto the lead in the last minutes of the game. But I would also like to see my Utes KEEP their comfortable leads!! Honestly how can an offense get over 300 yards in one half and then only 50 in the second half? Yes I'm thrilled they won in the Big House, but honestly we should have won by a lot more than 2 points! Thank goodness Michigan's two point conversion went incomplete!!

Now it's time for UNLV. . . Pay back time!!

GREATEST NEWS EVER!

I just got the best news ever! If you couldn't guess by the pictures . . .I'm going to the Utah Michigan game this weekend! I just found out. For work over the past few weeks I've been working on the tailgate that we are hosting. We have 1400 people going. I'm so excited to be able to be there and make all my long hours worth it!



I NOW officially LOVE my job! I really can't believe I get to go! To the BIG HOUSE! The biggest stadium in the nation!! GO UTES!

Congrats Parker!

Saturday I got to spend the day with some of my favorite people! Below is a picture of me and my boys. We have all been best friends from high school on. It was so much fun to spend the whole day together it's been ages since we've all done something. The wedding was beautiful I'm so happy I got to go and be there for Parker.

Rafting Weekend. . .

So I went river rafting with my ward this past weekend. All I can say is that I'm super sad I had not discovered this sooner! I had so much fun! I could have spent the whole day on the river. It was beautiful!! We went down the Snake River just outside of Jackson Hole. We got there on Friday and it turned out not to be the best day. We ended up getting rained on quite a bit. But let me tell you, going down the river in the rain was BEAUTIFUL! The clouds were low and there was mist all throughout the trees. It was stunning. We got to run it twice. I had such a great time! I only wish I could go again! I don't have any pictures taking a camera on the river doesn't make much sense. :) Also! This crosses off one of my goals for the year, to go somewhere I've never been. BEST TRIP EVER!

Happy 24th Of July Weekend

Well I spent the weekend in Newport beach. My best friend Lisa, (pictured above) was staying with her family in a beach house so I flew in on Wednesday night, we spent all day Thursday in Disneyland and then just sat on the beach on Friday and Saturday! I didn't know how much I needed this break but I feel fully recharged and ready for life to get busy.

Best Movie EVER!

I'm still speechless. . .And if you know me that doesn't happen a lot.
Honestly one of THE most incredible movies ever made. If you don't like 'dark' films though I would not recommend this. The Joker is seriously the most disturbing villain I have ever seen. HONESTLY! It's amazing how evil he is. . .Oh man. The fact I'm running on 3 hours of sleep doesn't bother me at all. And I'm so excited to see it again tonight. And probably again next week. . . . It's BRILLIANT! Usually I have something to complain about with a film, and it's very rare one lives up to my expectations, but this. . . well it exceeded my expectations.

I'm going to be an aunt to a little girl!!! This November we get to add our first grandbaby to the family! I'm so excited. This poor girl will only be getting Utah apparel from her crazy aunt Cami! She's going to love Utah football just as much as me! Just kind of excited. . . Thought I'd share.

Full time. . .

Well I'm not even through my second day at the new job, but I think I can already tell I'm going to enjoy it here. I LOVE having friends here already. Although Brynn and I can't talk too much and she'll be leaving me soon for two and a half months, it makes me happy she's here. And having Cas and Lori at the front desk makes it much more fun! I have a lot I need to learn at this job, but I really think I'm going to enjoy it. . . So far the only thing I don't like is the traffic! I need to move!

News! For the first time in a LONG time!

So this needed a post of it's own!

I GOT A JOB! If you know me at all, you know that I have been searching and applying and interviewing for jobs for over a year now! And finally at long last I got THE job. The best job for me! I'm so excited. I'll be working for the Alumni Association at the University of Utah. And better yet I'll be working with one of my favorite people Brynn! I'm so excited! I really can't believe it!

Just thought I'd share! It's a pretty good day. I hope you are all smiling and loving life! Because it's pretty great!

Vacation!

Well here a just a few highlights from my most recent vacation. I went with five friends to Southern Cal. We saw Wicked, which was once again wonderful! Wickedly Wonderful! Then we spent two days in Disneyland. It was a bit rainy but luckily it kept some people away. I love Disneyland! I wish I could go there more often. I really act like a moron there but it makes me so dang happy! I'm glad that my friends let me run around and act weiowd! They are pwetty gwate!

24 And Loving It!

Well Saturday was my 24th Birthday! I was really looking forward to turning 24! You know my fetish with even numbers! And 24 just sounds great. It has to be better then 23! :) I had a very long busy day I was maybe home for an hour. But I ended the night with a 'party' at Lisa's house. A lot of people were able to come and it made me very happy. I wish I could have spent more time with everyone and I should have taken more pictures, but here are a few.

These are my high school boys. First Jill, Parker, Brian and Colin. I've been friends with these guys for about 7, 8 maybe 9 years. They always make me laugh!
And of course my Siggies! Mands was able to keep her eyes open and Lettuce looks like she is going to seduce you! Look out! HAGS!
First we have Lisa. She was so very nice to let me have my birthday party at her house. She had been out of town for almost 3 weeks and her first night home, she let me invade her house. She is possibly the best ever! And then there is me, and that is Best Friend(Brooke) another one of my favorite people.
